Soller lives in Maryland, where he works as Vice President of Mount Saint Mary's College. He has received degrees in Government and History from the College of William and Mary (1977), in Physical Education and Coaching from James Madison University (1979), and in College Adminstration from Southern Illinois University (1981). In his spare time, Soller is a self-proclaimed beach bum.
