Sensei Chris Thomas
Sensei Thomas began as the very first student in the newly opened Rockville Phoenix Karate dojo in March 1996. Her initial interest was general physical fitness, but she quickly became an avid karateka. Beginning martial arts training at the age of 31 wasn't easy, but well worth all the hard work required. Sensei received her Shodan on November 10, 2001 and her Nidan during the 2005 Summer Gashuku. Photos of her Shodan test may be found here.
Sensei Thomas further complements her training by being a co-instructor at the newly opened Phoenix Karate Frederick dojo. This new addition to the Phoenix family opened on June 2, 2003.
When not training in the dojo, she is a wife and stay-at-home mother of two toddlers (now that's hard work)!
